1st International Cartoon Contest Sinola / Mexico 28 October 2012

Rules

1. PARTICIPATION
The Contest is open to all cartoonists from all over the world and beyond.
2. THEME: Sexual Diversity
Sexual Diversity has existed in all societies at all times. Sometimes it has been open and often, because of discrimination and prejudice, it has been closeted.
Our theme this year respects the right of adults and consenting human beings to express their different sexualities.
3. THE PRIZES
1st Prize: $2000 US dollars + plate.
2nd Prize: $1500 US dollars + plate.
3rd Prize: $1000 US dollars + plate.
Winners will be notified by e-mail after 20th November 2012.
4. ENTRIES
A maximum of 3 works can be submitted by E-mail in any media, in black and white or colour, but they should not have received a prize in other contests.
Works should have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and keep the proportions of a Letter size paper sheet A4(21.5cms x 27.9cms). They should be sent to: camino2@prodigy.net.mx or camino3@prodigy.net.mx
5. DEADLINE: October 28, 2012

7. A catalogue with the winners and selected works will be available on the web page of the contest
8. PROPERTY RIGHTS
Copyright belongs to authors. The Contest will use some works, but only for promotional purposes, such as publicity, the catalogue and the press.
9. THE JURY.
The jury is composed of three cartoon artists of international recognition. The results of the contest will be published on 20th November 2012 by the media and winners will be notified by e-mail. The decision of the jury is final.

BASES Y REGLAMENTOS

1. PARTICIPACIÓN.
El Concurso está abierto para todos(as) los(as) caricaturistas de cualquier parte del mundo.
2. TEMA: Diversidad sexual.
La diversidad sexual siempre ha existido en todas las sociedades y en todas las épocas; algunas veces culturalmente aceptada y en otras, debido al prejuicio y a la discriminación, socialmente reprobada.
Nuestro tema respeta el derecho de todo adulto y de todo ser humano responsable a expresar sus diferencias sexuales.
3. LOS PREMIOS.
1er. lugar – $2000 US dólares + placa
2do. lugar– $1500 US dólares + placa
3er. lugar – $1000 US dólares + placa
Los resultados se darán a conocer vía E-mail, después del día 20 de noviembre 2012.
4. LOS TRABAJOS
Podrán participar hasta con 3 trabajos que no hayan sido premiados en otros certámenes, en color, o blanco y negro y usando cualquier técnica, tamaño carta y con una resolución mínima de 200 dpi. Los trabajos serán enviados por e-mail a una de las siguientes direcciones:

5. FECHA LIMITE DE ENVIOS.

6. JUNTO CON LOS TRABAJOS DEBERÁ ANEXARSE LA FORMA DE PARTICIPACIÓN CON LOS SIGUIENTES DATOS: (La forma se puede descargar de la página del concurso).

7. CATALOGO.
Todos los trabajos premiados y seleccionados podrán ser vistos en un catalogo virtual en la página web del concurso.
8. DERECHOS DE AUTOR.
El Concurso respeta todos los derechos de autor(a) y solamente hará uso de algunos trabajos únicamente para fines promociónales del mismo.
9. EL JURADO.
El jurado calificador estará integrado por artistas de reconocido prestigio y, una vez emitidos los fallos, en fecha 20 de noviembre de 2012, se darán a conocer a través de los medios de comunicación y serán notificados vía email los concursantes que resulten ganadores. El fallo del jurado será inapelable.
