Sejong Webtoon Campus in Sejong Technology Park is launching the "2026 Sejong International Comic and Animation Show (SICACO)" project with the aim of contributing to the global spread of Korean comic creation culture by organizing an international comic competition, discovering outstanding domestic and foreign works, and promoting the establishment and activation of international networks. 8. Application Restrictions and Exclusion from Evaluation
- Works that do not comply with the regulations and application specifications may be excluded from the evaluation process.
- Works that have previously won awards in other competitions.
- Cases where copyright infringement is clearly evident due to plagiarism or theft by others.
- Cases where the applicant is unclear.
- Works that defame others.
- Works that do not meet the standards (specifications, length) specified in the application guide.
- Works with excessive sexual or violent content.
9. Important Notes
- The applicant is solely responsible for any disadvantages that may arise as a result of misunderstanding regarding the rules and guidelines in this competition.
- Applications can be made as a team, and certificates and prize money will be given to the representative author.
- Copyright belongs to the author; in case of co-authorship, details regarding copyright will be determined by an agreement between the authors.
- Documents not submitted within the application period will not be accepted. Emails must arrive by 6:00 PM (KST) on the application deadline, and documents sent by post must arrive on the application deadline.
- The applicant is responsible for all costs related to the application process.
- If incorrect information is found in the submitted documents, eligibility will be revoked. The Foundation may claim compensation for such disqualification, and the applicant will bear all related costs.
- In principle, the copyright of the winning work belongs to the winner (creator). However, Sejong Municipality, Sejong Technology Park, and Sejong Webtoon Campus have the right to use the work for non-profit purposes (including copyright, performance rights, and exhibition rights) for project promotion.
- If the applicant requests the return of the submitted work, the work will be returned to the applicant; however, additional costs related to the return will be borne by the applicant.
- If the applicant does not request the return of the work, the organizer will destroy the work within 3 months of the competition's closing date.
