The first
cartoon competition is held in Athens by the
"TV Ethnos" magazine of the Editorial
group Pegasus. The annual competition is open to
professional and amateur cartoonists from all
over the world.

- Techniques:
No limits
- Original
works and signed prints in the case of
digital works are accepted.
- Digital
works can be sent electronically to the
e-mail cartoonaward@pegasus.gr
with the following specifications: Minimum
analysis 300 dpi / RGB / JPG. Maximum size
up to 5MB per e-mail.
- The
works will be sent until 30 September 2008
at the latest, to the following address

- The minimum
size of works is A4 (210 x 297mm). The
maximum size is A3 (297 x420 mm) and should
be sent without a frame. Each artist /
cartoonist may submit up to three works.
- The prizes:
First prize, 8000 Euro
Second prize 5000 Euro
Third prize 3000 Euro
In addition there will be three
special prizes.
- Works that
have been awarded in previous competitions
will not be accepted.
- The
foundation will not be responsible for
damage that may occur during postage and
handling.
- A short
biography of the artist and a photograph
should be attached.
- All the
selected cartoons will be exhibited in
Athens and possibly in other parts of Greece,
over time.
- The jury
composed of distinguished Greek and foreign
cartoonists and Personalities from the
Cultural and Artistic area, will meet in
October 2008 in Athens to announce the
winners.
- The
foundation will cover the travel and
accommodation expenses of the first three
prize-winning cartoonists for the award
ceremony in Athens.
- The award-winning
cartoons will not be returned to artists
while the cartoons, which do not win awards,
will be returned to the artists upon written
request.
- A
competition catalogue will be published. The
participants artists will receive a copy of
the catalogue.
- The award
ceremony and exhibition of selected by the
committee, cartoons, will be held in
December 2008 in Athens.
- Following
the announcement of the results of the
illustrations will be posted on the site of
the organizers.
- After the
announcement of the winners, there will be a
period of 15 days for filling complaints or
objections against the award-winning works
for similarities or awards in previous
competitions. Complaints will be submitted
to the e-mail: cartoonaward@pegasus.gr
with the necessary evidence.
- After
examining the complaints the final results
will be announced and are nonnegotiable.
- The selected
works will be exhibited at http://www.tvethnoscartoonaward.gr
and may be used for promotional purposes,
printed or electronically or otherwise, and
permit third parties to reproduce them for
promotional purposes of the exhibition and
used without any monetary or otherwise
compensation.
- By entering
works to the competition the participant
automatically agrees to the terms and
conditions of Participation. It is expressly
referred to the fact that the author thereby
also agrees to the exhibition of his/her
works and their reproduction in the
Competition Catalogue.

Pegasus yayın grubuna bağlı "TV
Ethnos" dergisi tüm dünya çizerlerine açık birinci karikatür yarışmasını düzenliyor.

1. Konu (Topic): Televizyon ve Kültür (TV and culture)
2. Teknik: Serbest.
3. Orijinal karikatürler ve (ıslak) imzalı dijital çalışmalar kabul edilir.
4. Dijital çalışmalar cartoonaward@pegasus.gr adresine e-mail ile gönderilebilir: En az 300 dpi çözünürlük / RGB / JPG. Her e-mail için maksimum büyüklük 5MB.
5. Eserler 30 Eylül 2008 tarihine kadar şu adrese ulaşmış olmalıdır:

6. Boyut: En az A4 (210 x 297mm), en fazla A3 (297 x420 mm) ve çerçevesiz olmalıdır. Her sanatçı en çok 3 eserle katılabilir.
7. Ödüller:
Birincilik 8000 Avro
İkincilik 5000 Avro
Üçüncülük 3000 Avro
Ayrıca 3 özel ödül.
8. Daha önce ödül kazanmış eserler kabul edilmez.
9. Postada oluşabilecek hasardan düzenleyen kuruluş sorumlu değildir.
10. Katılımcının kısa biyografisi ve fotosu eklenmelidir.
11. Seçilen eserler Atina’da ve muhtemelen ilerde Yunanistan’ın başka bölgelerinde sergilenecektir.
12. Jüri Ekim 2008’de toplanarak sonuçları açıklayacaktır.
13. Düzenleyen kuruluş, ilk üç ödülü kazanan çizerlerin Atina’da yapılacak ödül töreni için ulaşım ve konaklama giderini karşılayacaktır.
14. Ödül kazananlar dışındaki eserler, yazılı olarak talep edilirse, geri gönderilir.
15. Yarışma albümü katılan sanatçılara gönderilecektir.
16. Ödül töreni ve seçilen eserlerin sergilemesi Atina’da Aralık 2008’de yapılacaktır.
17. Sonuçların açıklanmasından sonra eserler düzenleyen kuruluşun sitesinde yayınlanacaktır.
18. Kazananların açıklanmasından sonra kazanan eserler hakkında daha önce ödül kazandıkları ya da benzerlik iddiası bildirimleri için 15 günlük bir süre tanınacak, bildirim gerekli delillerle şu adrese yapılacaktır:

19. Bildirimlerin incelenmesinden sonra kesin sonuçlar açıklanacak ve itiraz kabul edilmeyecektir.
20. Seçilen eserler http://www.tvethnoscartoonaward.gr/
sitesinde sergilenecek ve tanıtım amaçlı kullanılabilecektir.
21. Yarışmaya katılanlar yarışma koşullarını, özellikle de eserlerinin sergilenmesini ve yarışma albümünde yayınlanmasını peşinen kabul etmiş sayılır.
